Double face grinding machine:
Grinding the end face of the grinding wheel using two grinding heads together grinds the two parallel planes of the workpiece, the horizontal axis and the vertical axis. The workpiece is guided by grinding wheels, such as linear or rotary insulating material feeders. This grinding machine has high power and is suitable for mass production of bearing rings and piston rings.
In the above surface grinding machines, the surface grinding machine using the grinding wheel end face grinding machine compared to the grinding machine using the rim, because the end grinding wheel diameter is often relatively large, can wear out the full width of the workpiece, grinding area Larger, so higher productivity. However, when the end face is ground, the surface of the grinding wheel and the workpiece is in contact with a curved line or surface, the contact area is large, cooling is difficult, and the chips are not easily eliminated. Therefore, the machining accuracy and the surface roughness are slightly inferior.
The productivity of the round table is slightly higher than that of the round table surface grinder compared to the table surface grinder. This is due to the fact that the circular table feeds continuously and the table top has a loss of commutation time. In addition, the circular table is only suitable for grinding the end face of small parts and large-diameter annular parts, and it is not possible to grind long parts, while the moment table can easily grind various common parts, including ring-shaped parts whose diameter is smaller than the width of the land.
