Different preloading methods of different grinder tailstock

Jun 21, 2020

The tailstock of small and medium cylindrical grinders are generally preloaded with spring force, so that when the workpiece is extended due to thermal expansion during grinding, it can be automatically compensated to avoid bending deformation and excessive wear on the center of the workpiece. Horizontal lathes use screw nuts for longitudinal adjustment and movement, and then clamp them in the required positions to meet the needs of processing workpieces of different lengths.
